Hello! 👋 Are you the new Operations Lead we are looking for in our premises in A6K Charleroi? 


At Seafar, being an Operations Lead means you’re responsible forsteering the operational excellence and strategic direction of our local operations. We are looking for a leader who is not just adept at managing day-to-day operations but is also a leader in workforce development, client relations, and financial oversight.


🤓 Main responsibilities


  • Operational management: Oversee the daily operations of the Charleroi office, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. 
  • Hiring & HR management: Lead the recruitment process to attract top talent. 
  • P&L responsibility: Take full responsibility for the P&L statements of the office, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance operational capacity and ensure the achievement of business goals.
  • Client relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships. 
  • Government liaison: Act as the main contact for government bodies. Foster strong relationships with government officials and other stakeholders.
  • Team management: Lead, motivate, and support a team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment. This includes setting clear team goals, delegating tasks, and setting deadlines.
  • You'll work from our office in Charleroi

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in operational leadership, preferably in the maritime, logistics, or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
  • Experience in budgeting and financial forecasting.
  • Proficiency in managing client relationships and government liaison.
  • Fluent in English and French; any additional language skills are a plus.
  • You live in the Charleroi area
