Hello! 👋 Are you the  Commissioning Engineer we are looking for?

Are you excited by challenging the status quo, prove new ways of working and shape the shipping industry's future? As a Commissioning Engineer you are an integral part of the service delivery to our clients, since you are there for the organisational & technical aspects of every project.

You closely engage with the commercial team, our clients and suppliers, with the vessels’, captains on and off board as well as all other stakeholders.

🤓 Main responsibilities

  • Starting up and configuring both control systems and associated electrical installations;
  • Analyzing and assessing the existing situation with the aim of setting up the system to match the specifications of our clients;
  • Solving problems encountered during the inspection and testing of installations and systems for technical completeness, in a smart manner;
  • Communicating timely and clearly with internal and external clients, and, if necessary, with inspection bodies during the commissioning of systems;
  • Ensuring the improvement of the quality and reliability of the installations;
  • Responsible for a ready-for-use delivery;
  • Handling technical data, drawings, inspection plans, test protocols, specifications, and contract conditions responsibly;
  • Keeping track of revisions and performing additional registration tasks;
  • Preparing reports for internal and external clients

Job requirements

👇 Does this sounds like you

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical training in marine engineering, electrical/mechanical systems, or related fields is necessary
  • Willingness to perform (offshore) work at all project locations (NL);
  • High HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) awareness. 
  • Good technical knowledge of vessel, including remote operation technologies, hydraulic/mechanical systems, and electrical components
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and coordinate a diverse team of personnel
  • Be able to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines and objectives
  • Experience in reading technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals to interpret and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Problem-solving attitude and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational challenges
  • Commitment to safety, with a thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices applicable to maritime operations
  • Eager to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally for site visits and project-related activities
