Traffic Controller

Hello! 👋 Are you the new Traffic Controller we are looking for?

At Seafar, being a Traffic controller means you’re the integral part of our Remote Control Operations. You monitor and support the semi-autonomous operations in the Seafar Control Center from your control panel desk in our office in Duisburg. Are you excited by challenging the status quo, prove new ways of working and shape a role that does not exist in this form today?

🤓 Main responsibilities

• Cooperate with a team of captains and skippers, to monitor and guide different vessels in a safe and efficient way
• Monitor the operations of multiple vessels from the Shore Control Center, using all available IT systems and tools
• Ensure timely and reliable operations of the SEAFAR-controlled vessels, by applying safe and proven operational procedures.
• Cooperate closely with your colleagues (f.i.: giving feedback to the R&D colleagues for adjustments and improvements of the processes and systems)

👇 Does this sounds like you?

• Bachelor or Master (Maritime School/STCW education) with experience in the maritime or inland waterway sector
• Have a valid drivers license
• Excellent German & English communication skills (any other language is a plus)
• Is willing to undergo training to build up the knowledge and skills specific to this job
